Note: The collection below is sorted based on enjoyment. I read for unique technical ideas, world-building, and forecasting. I am not a fan of overly verbose descriptions, magical "freeze chambers", and humanoid aliens. 👽

Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang, 2002 / In progress...

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, 2021 / Beautiful alien portrayal and story (especially the ending). Really enjoyed the dynamic duo and the constant flashbacks. Weir is hilarious and doesn't shy away from the scientific nerdiness.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, 2011 / Not a fan of metaverses but enjoyed the world-building within the OASIS. The secret gate games got a bit repetitive. Overall, really enjoyed this (especially after watching the horrendous movie).
